Tommy Washington - SD Solutions Rebrand : Case Study
Overview
This case study focuses on the rebrand of SD Solutions, a running and speed coaching brand owned by Tommy Washington. The goal was to create a stronger brand presence that would attract more clients and better represent the services offered.
Objective
The objective was to create a brand identity that communicates speed, motion, strength, and professionalism while making the brand more recognizable to the public.
My Role
My role was to redesign the brand in a way that felt active, professional, and attention-grabbing. Every design choice was made to reflect running, speed, and athletic performance.
Creative Direction
Tommy Washington and I chose a direction centered around movement and strength. The layouts, typography, colors, and design elements were selected to visually communicate energy, motion, and professionalism.
Process
Throughout the process, I focused on making the brand visually consistent while still showing the purpose behind SD Solutions. I explored different fonts, colors, and layouts that would create a stronger connection to running and speed training.
Challenges
One of the biggest challenges was making sure the company’s purpose was clear since the name “SD Solutions” does not immediately relate to running or speed training. Because of this, I relied heavily on motion-inspired visuals, typography, and color choices to help communicate the brand identity.
Outcome
The final rebrand gave SD Solutions a stronger and more professional identity that better reflects Washington’s coaching style and athletic focus.
